EU-Japan Industrial Dialogue on Railways

Metro Line 4 opens in Budapest

Budapest’s fourth metro line, linking Kelenföld and the Keleti railway stations, was opened to the public on Friday, on which occasion a ceremony was held in the presence of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Mayor of Budapest István Tarlós at the Kelenföld terminus.

Signed memorandum to develop rail transport between China and Europe

DHL Global Forwarding and Integrated Transport and Logistics Company (OTLK) - established by the railways of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus – have agreed to collaborate on the development of rail transport between China and Europe.

Coradia Meridian for Trenitalia delivered

Alstom will deliver the new Coradia Meridian regional train to Trenitalia tomorrow. In 2012 Italian public railway operator Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane and Alstom, following the results of the public call for tenders, signed the contract for the production of 70 electrical regional trains, with an option for further twenty and the maintenance of the fleet for 5, 10 or 20 years.
