Railway infrastructure manufacturers of Sarajevo and Zagreb presented in Sarajevo assurance system for level crossings.
Company Step from Sarajevo, in collaboration with the company Altpro fro Zagreb, presented a project for BiH Railways, and a plan for exporting to third countries under the name of Joint production and delivery of the complete system, to ensure a safe railway crossing.
Hrvatske Željeznice Infrastruktura d.o.o. has applied for a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and intends to use its proceeds to contribute towards the financing of the renewal and rehabilitation of railway tracks as well as signalling equipment along the Trans-European Corridor X: Savski Marof to Zagreb section, which includes 22 km double rail track and several additional section(s) in the Zagreb area.
Macedonian Transport minister Mile Janakieski announced that the railway connection with Bulgaria,  part of pan-European transport Corridor VIII,  and the upgrading of the entire railway network will be completed by 2022.
Fleet renewal
Macedonian Railways JSC Skopje have awarded the Contract to the Tenderer ZOS Trnava, Slovakia. The contract value is EUR 13.2 million.
On April 3rd 2014 a Workshop of the project “Accessibility Improved at Border Crossings for the Integration of South-East Europe (ACROSSEE)†took take place at the European Parliament in Brussels. Many distinguished guests from DG MOVE, DG REGIO and national ministries attended the conference.
