Joint forces of the RAILHUC and RAIL4SEE projects

A conference with the title ‘Rail infrastructures and services: connecting Europe for cities and people’ was held in Bologna on 15th October, 2014.

RAIL4SEE project within the frame of South East Europe Programme and it’s “twin project”, RAILHUC in Central Europe had their common closing conference.

This region has always been involved in the integration of different systems of mobility. It  started already in 2011 European project called RAILHUC, which among its objectives had analysis of interventions to increase the efficient use of railway junctions and in particular to analyze which procedures must be carried out at Reggio Emilia railway node. This was followed by the connection with the new high speed railway station (Mediopadana), to promote interconnection with public and private transport.
