Session of the Commission for the Railways, which was chaired by Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic, was held on Friday at the government headquarters. The European Investment Bank (EIB) has issued a €600 million loan to finance a raft of renewal works across the Austrian rail network.
Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) will use the money to complete a programme of upgrades in 2017, including track renewals, signalling and telecommunications projects, station improvements, bridges, level crossings and power systems.
