Hybrid drive demonstrates 15% fuel saving

A 15% reduction in fuel consumption compared to a conventional diesel multiple-unit was achieved by Deutsche Bahn’s VT642 test DMU when MTU undertook trials with a hybrid version of its PowerPack.

Poland to invest over EUR 5 bn in developing railway transport

Poland will invest over EUR 5 bn from the Infrastructure and Environment program 2014 – 2020 in developing railway transport, stated the Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Development, SÅ‚awomir Å»aÅ‚obka. Russia and Cuba to form joint transport and logistics company
