Gredelj delivered five repaired coaches to Montenegro

Rolling Stock Factory Gredelj has shipped five passenger wagons to Montenegro yesterday. The wagons were well renovated and modernized for the needs of Railway Transport of Montenegro AD Podgorica.

These are the first five of ten passenger wagons Z for which Gredelj plant plans to provide a service of secondary correction agreed in mid-February 2016, based on the completion of the international public tender. Under the contract, remains the obligation to provide service to the secondary correction for five more passenger cars of the same type, and they are to be delivered to the keel of production facilities in the first half of May 2016.

High quality and timely implementation of the first phase of this project is a continuation of the successful cooperation with the Railway Transport of Montenegro, and except for the completion of repairs on the passenger wagons Z, in the Montenegrian market there is an implementation of the public procurement procedure for services of secondary correction for  6 passenger coaches Y, BCX, WLAB and WR and the decision to accept the keel offers is expected. All these vans have already been repaired by Gredelj in accordance with the prescribed maintenance cycles.

Within the mentioned cooperation Gredelj has, for the purpose of Railway Transport of Montenegro AD Podgorica, only during the last few years, made repairs of different levels of complexity on nearly 40 passenger coaches of various types, two electro train and four locomotives. Therefore, it is realistic to expect that this successful trend will continue during 2016 with the conclusion of a new business in the market of Montenegro.

Today Gredelj proudly points out the fact that the locomotives, wagons and trains that come out of our manufacturing facility constructed in accordance with the UIC and AAR standards, and adjusted for all track gauges (narrow, wide or standard). These vehicles today are pulling trains and transporting passengers and goods around the world – from Argentina, through Guinea and Ivory Coast, to Saudi Arabia.
